Retro Rockets: a project based on the popular speculations about the design of space-craft by artists in the 1940′s and 1950′s (before the space age and the Moon race changed perceptions).
Evoking the bright ‘Meccano‘ colours of the era. A ‘sketch’ in CG3D. a collection of scenes were produced as pre-production art for a collection of prints.

The drawing was made in a notebook while sitting in a park café one summer. The ship was constructed in CG3D for reference and then finished on paper. The elements scanned and combined to produce the final print.
This has been one of the best selling prints.
